Bidding Circles

I've wanted to post again for a while but nothing quite galvanized me enough. Nothing, that is, until today when I saw the most ludicrous story I'd seen in a while. Apparently, the U.S. is going to run a futures market based on predicting terrorist attacks and assassinations. It really seems like a joke, I don't understand how this can be for real.

Something else I've been meaning to mention on CH is the existence of Usenet FAQs. Not many people today even know of the existence of Usenet, which predates the World Wide Web by at least 10 years. However, it remains one of the best sources of free, comprehensive information. Want to learn about Physics? No problem. How about Electronic Music Creation?. You can even read about how much AOL sucks.
